Dear volkssport colleagues:

Please accept warm greetings from China Volkssport Association (CVA).

For all Chinese people, August 8, 2008 will be a sports festival. As the host country of the 29th Olympic Game, China has been waiting for so long to have this precious opportunity to show the world a wonderful land.

Right before the 29th Olympic Game, CVA will jointly organize a “Century Walk, International Citizens Cheer for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games” with Royal Walking Association of The Netherlands in Beijing. The whole program will be from July 30 to August 8, 2008. Among the program, we will walk the Summer Palace on July 31 and Simatai Great Wall on August 6. Besides walking, we also organize other interesting programs, such as visiting Beijing community, learn Chinese cooking, watch Beijing Opera and China Martial Arts, visiting elementary school, experience Chinese folks arts, etc. We will offer you a chance to walk with Chinese walkers and walkers from all over the world.

Each IVV member country could send at most 20 walkers to participate our “Century Walk” program. Please contact us and get registered as soon as possible for booking hotel and transportation in advance. The deadline for registration is March 31, 2008.

Please see the Registration Form and programs of the “Century Walk” and hope to walk with you in China in next few months. Let's walk with Olympic together.
