Mountains and Waters in China

The third longest river in the world is China’s Yangtze River, which is the largest and the longest river in China and originates from Tangula Mountain Range in Qinghai Province.

The highest mountain in the world is China’s Mt. Sagarmatha, also called Mt. Everest, part of the Himalaya mountain range along the border of Nepal and Tibet.

China has many beautiful waters and mountains. Differet parts have different charm with different cultures. Mt. Changbai (perpetually white mountain) in northeastern China is a sleeping volcanic mountain with virgin forest. A large crater lake, called Heaven Lake, is located within the caldera atop of the mountain. Mountains and Waters of Guilin in the southwestern China is the most beautiful part, just like a traditional Chineses ink painting. Chinese people describe it as “the best among all under heaven”.
